Backing up your account using cPanel

Backing up your work is always a good idea and with the Back Up Wizard in cPanel, backing up your account is easier than you might think.
The back up wizard will allow you to download a copy of your files, emails, databases, etc. and save to your own PC at home or work.

To generate a full back up, follow the instructions below:
1. Login to your cPanel account using the details provided in your New Account Informaiton email.
2. Under the Files section, click on Backups.
3. Under Full Backup, click Generate/Download a Full Website Backup.
4. Under Backup Destination choose Home Directory.
5. Under Email Address, select whether you would like to receive a notification when the backup is complete and, if applicable, type in your email address.
6. Click Generate Backup.

The backup will then be generated and placed in the tar.gz file in the home directory. Instructions on how to download this file as follows:

1. Login to your cPanel account using the details provided in your New Account Informaiton email.
2. Under the Files section, click on Backups.
3. Under Full Backup, click Generate/Download a Full Website Backup.
4. Under Backups Available for Download, select the link for the backup file you want to download.
5. Save the backup to a suitable location on your PC for future use.
