Mail set-up guides

Setting up your email is different for every email client. Outlook, Thunderbird and Mac Mail are the most popular email programs available today. Below are the guides for each of these clients. If you are setting up your email on a different program, please contact us and we can send step-by-step instructions.

The username for your email account is always your full email address. The password for the account is the one chosen when the email account was set up. If you need to change your password, please see “Changing your password”.

The server settings for your email account will be different, depending on whether you have a POP3 or IMAP account.

POP3

Incoming mail server: mail.<yourdomain> (eg. mail.example.com)

Incoming port number: 110

Outgoing mail server: mail.<yourdomain.com> (eg. mail.example.com)

Outgoing port number: 587

IMAP

Incoming mail server: mail.<yourdomain.com> (eg. mail.example.com)

Incoming port number: 143

Outgoing mail server: mail.<yourdomain.com> (eg. mail.example.com)

Outgoing port number: 587

Most mail clients will set the outgoing port to default port 25, which is now blocked by most internet service providers due to high levels of spam. We ask that all of our customers change the default port to 587.
