Why shouldn't I register my name directly through Nominet UK?
You can go directly to Nominet. However, non-members are charged considerably
more. At present we are saving our customers more than £70 on the standard Nominet non-member fees.

Why do I have to pay renewal fees?
Internet domain names require maintaining. Nominet UK charge for the upkeep of domains and therefore we have renewal fees. This renewel fee is payable every two years and shouldn't be more than the amount you paid to register your domain name.
If it is, you are free to take your domain name elsewhere to renew it. No questions asked.

Can I renew domain names registered with other companies through you?
Yes you can. Likewise, once you have registered a name through us you are not restricted to renewing the name here, unlike some other domain name registration companies. Meaning more and more people are using BIGNAMES to renew their domain names.
